Linda Laird
Tennessee

Though Linda has been finishing quilts for the Angel Quilt Project since 2004, these are not the only quilts she does. The beautiful bird quilt is a special one - one she made for a very close friend this past Christmas. It is by far the most complicated to piece (each bird block is pieced seperately) but most beautiful quilt she's made since she has been quilting. Until recently, Linda's quilts were not done for sale and had always been done as gifts or charity. She doesn't make up quilts to sell, but when someone asks her to make one that is not for a charity, she does quote a price. The Project is very lucky to have her as one of our finishers. She sent some pictures to us of some of her other beautiful work:

The little white church reminded my mother of the church she attended in Florida. Since I moved her to Tennessee to live nearer to me she misses her little church so the pillow was a sweet reminder for her. She loves it. It's one block of the Quilted Village designed by Janet Miller.
